4. Eat half an onion a day. Your co-workers might not like it, but many studies have shown that onion as well as garlic help reduces cholesterol.
5. Use olive oil.
6. Eat an apple a day.
7. Eat fish with omega-3 acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are noted for their triglyceride-lowering effect, but they also help the heart in other ways such as reducing blood pressure and the risk of blood clots.
